Dating back to the 1930s and sensitively renovated and modernized to conserve its early 20th century style, the Bettoja Hotel Mediterraneo is an imposing building located atop Esquilino hill in central Rome, within 200 metres of Termini station. Within 300 metres visitors will find the Santa Maria Maggiore basilica, while the monumental Coliseum, the Forum and the Trevi Fountain are all about a kilometre away. Rome Fiumicino airport is 35 kilometres and about a 45 minute journey from the hotel. An express train service runs between the airport terminal and Termini station in central Rome (journey time 30 minutes, cost 10 EUR). The hotel is about a 100 metre walk from the station's main exit along Via Cavour. A taxi from the airport to the hotel costs around 50 EUR. Expect a taxi from Termini to the hotel to cost in the region of 3 EUR, with a 1 EUR charge for each piece of luggage. The hotel can arrange private transfers if contacted in advance.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS
From the airport Leonardo DaVinci by car, follow indications for Rome
following on the motorway A1"Fiumicino/Roma"direction Eur,and get off
on the exit "Eur Roma Centro". Take the via Cristoforo Colombo until
you reach the Basilica of San Giovanni in Laterano. Follow on via
Merulana until reaching the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore in the
direction of "Stazione Termini". The Bettoja Hotel Mediterraneo is
located on the corner of Via Cavour, only a short walk away from the
Termini Railway Station.
