The Hotel Imperiale is an impressive five-floor hotel with a nineteenth century style façade, located in downtown Rome on Via Vittorio Veneto; it is just 300 metres from both the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain. All 96 air-conditioned rooms have wood floors, red and gold décor with wooden furniture, and are equipped with minibars, cable television and high-speed Internet access. The hotel restaurant is a 19th century-styled dining room and guests also have the option of being seated in the air-conditioned glass house located directly on the Via Veneto. The hotel is approximately 35 kilometres or a forty-minute drive from Rome Fiumicino Airport. There is an express train service every 30 minutes to Rome's Termini train station (journey time 30 minutes). A single ticket costs around ¬10. Taxis are readily available at the airport, but take a licensed metered taxi only. An airport surcharge is payable. A taxi to the city centre will cost ¬50-60.
